About Album

Ultimate L. Guns - L. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Guns is the self-titled debut studio album by American hard rock band L. Recorded at The Village Recorder in West Los Angeles, it was produced by Jim Faraci and released on January 4, 1988 by Vertigo Records. The album is the only L. Guns release to feature drummer Nickey Beat Alexander, who was replaced by Steve Riley before it was released. One More Reason, Sex Action and Electric Gypsy were released as the three singles from the album. Guns is essentially a re-re-hash of the songs that made the band briefly famous in the days of Aqua Net and leather. In 1999, Cleopatra issued Greatest Hits & Black Beauties, which featured re-recordings of the band's songs by a latter-day incarnation of the group. While the collection included a few remixes and rarities to entice the collector, nowhere did the packaging let on that the set was actually made up of re-recordings. This 2003 release from Cleopatra attempts to pull the same trick. While it does include seven live tracks with decent sound, the majority of Ult. Guns is a greatest hits album by L. Guns, a hard rock band from Los Angeles, California that came to prominence in the 1980s. Much like the band's earlier compilation Greatest Hits and Black Beauties, this compilation consists of re-recorded versions of the band's hits, not the original versions. The tracks featured on this album consist of recordings previously featured on Greatest Hits and Black Beauties, other re-recorded songs not featured on the previous album, and live tracks. The first incarnation of the group was formed by Tracii Guns in 1983 and merged with fellow Los Angeles group the defunct Hollywood Rose to form Guns N' Roses in March 1985. Later that year, the group was reformed by Tracii Guns and singer Paul Mars Black adding. Founding member Tracii Guns left an early incarnation of G N' R to re-form L. Guns in 1985, and though the band never touched its more famous off-shoot in terms of commercial success, the gloriously hard-rocking sleaze merchants scored several hits through the years, including the 1989 hair metal classic The Ballad of Jayne. A truly byzantine series of break-ups and re-formations took place afterwards, resulting in two different lineups of L. Guns touring during the 2000s and 2010s. I Love Rock N' Roll. Over the Edge.
